In this short video geared towards primary care physicians, we model how to discuss treatment for latent tuberculosis (TB) infection with your patient. Most people with a positive TB skin or blood test should be treated for latent TB, after TB disease has been ruled out. Treatment for latent TB can be completed in 3 or 4 months, and this treatment can prevent TB disease from developing and spreading to patients’ loved ones. Educate patients on how to protect themselves and their families by getting treated for latent TB!
