Simply put, glute activation is waking up your glutes. It makes the connection from your brain to your muscle & gets the muscles fired up and ready to work. Activating your glutes loosens up tight muscles, and gets them activated BEFORE you move on to the big lifts like squats and lunges for maximum results.
This also aids in proper training warm-up habits, preventing injury and increased performance throughout the entire lift.
