Kevin Durant was flying all over the floor during warmups before the Warriors’ do-or-die NBA Finals Game 5 against the Raptors on Monday night, as fans of Canada’s team unleashed boos each time the superstar slammed the ball and let it go from beyond the arc.
Durant is making his first appearance since going down with a partially torn left calf more than a month ago during Golden State’s second round series against Houston.
“He worked at shootaround, went back to get treatment,’’ Kerr said hours before the game. “We’ll list him as a game-time decision, he looked good. We’ll see where it all goes. That’s what we’re hoping for. No guarantees. It’s just how he feels and training staff feels.”
Apparently he looked very good, so the Warriors reportedly choosing to start him as desperation sets in. The Golden State Dynasty is on the brink without Durant, who is their only hope to take down the Kawhi Leonard-led Raptors.
It’s unclear how the Warriors plan to use Durant as the game goes on.
