Researchers have learned a popular oral med can be used to safely treat patients w/ blood clots during chemotherapy.
This finding was presented in a study at the annual meeting of the American Societ of Hematology.
The medicine they studied was apixaban. It helps patients have less major bleeding and fewer recurrent blood clots
