Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) in Mountain Home, Arkansas has released a new app for Arkansas and Missouri residents called Baxter Regional CARE, which offers patients 24-hour video access to a medical professional for urgent care needs. The app allows patients to connect with a healthcare provider quickly via computer, smartphone or tablet. Providers can assess, diagnose and treat the patient’s condition as well as prescribe medication (if it is needed). During the video visit, providers can evaluate common conditions including flu, sore throat, urinary tract infection, bronchitis, common cold, pink eye, seasonal allergies, cold sores, ear infection, migraine headache, rashes, sinus infection, strains and sprains.
The app is free to download on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or by visiting www.baxterregionalcare.com. Each visit is only $69 (half the price of most walk-in urgent care centers) and is billed at that flat rate to the credit card of your choice just prior to the visit.
